The School of Skilled Professions is dedicated to reach, teach and empower students for life-long success.
Students in the School of Skilled Professions will be the engineers, builders, plumbers, electricians, stylists, estheticians and cosmetologists of tomorrow. Check the career file in the department files section for a more complete list of careers. Students, when they complete the School of Skilled Professions, will be both career and college ready. The program strands within the School of Skilled Professions are: Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical, Heating-Venting and Air Conditioning, Nail Care, Skin Care, and Cosmetology. Students in each program will begin the program during their sophomore year and could complete three consecutive courses in that program by the end of their junior year. Then during their senior year they will have the option to complete a dual credit course through Pellissippi State Community College in the selected field or experience the workforce first hand by completing an internship in their selected field.
Department Announcements AwardsCongratulations to Corey Adkins and Daniel Branch who came in 1st place in plumbing in the skills competition at the TVA&I Fair.
Congratulations to Shawn McGhee, Anthony Maples, Xavious Johnson, Andy Lyons, Nicolis Potter, and Greg Mossman who came in 2nd in HVAC in the skills competition at the TVA&I Fair. Congratulations to Mrs. Copeland's Cosmetology class and Mr. Wilson's HVAC class these class combine to create the suitcase display that came in 3rd in the skills competition at the TVA&I Fair. Congratulations to the following students for winning the Fulton Cosmetology hair design competition and representing us at the TVA&I Fair: Shondia Suber in Evening design, Amanda Cross in Casual design, and Dia Sharp in Braiding design.
